Paul Lewis is recognised internationally as one of the leading pianists of his generation. The popular and award–winning soloist was last with us four years ago and this was the earliest we could get him back!
Recently returned from Australia where he performed Schubert at the Melbourne Recital Centre earlier this month, Paul opens our 46th Concert Season in the Belfast Waterfront with Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in A, with two Russian greats either side propping up the evening: Borodin and his Overture to Prince Igor followed by Tchaikovsky’s dramatic and uplifting Symphony No.4. As we start our journey through the Ulster Orchestra’s World of Music, Russian Bookends is a great way to start!
